Verizon Pre-order, Release date, and speculation thread

I am switching from BlackBerry Bold to GS3. Do I have to use the same SIM card from BlackBerry in the S3 or will it come with a new one? Does anyone have any idea about this? Thanks!
 
Waiting for tomorrow to come. FedEx has it scheduled to be delivered sometime before 4:30pm tomorrow.

So today I decided to hit up the Sprint store and play around with one. Now I want it more :(

Ended up purchasing the spare battery/battery charging stand from the Sprint store so I'd have a fully charged battery right away tomorrow. Always good to have a spare too, as I had the original battery with my Droid X, and the extended.
 
K.... wtf?

I just checked via reference number again, and I have TWO tracking numbers...

One with expected ship by today (not gonna happen)
and one with expected ship by tomorrow (which was the original quote during preorder)

What the heck is going on here??!?! :(
 
Got my phone (32gb, Blue) today, about 4 hours ago from FedEx. My previous phone, the Rezound, feels like a brick in comparison, in my opinion. Loving the better battery life so far.
 
Got both of mine at 4:33...woohoo!!! A white 16gig (wifes) and a blue 16gig (mine). Can't wait to get home and charge those bad boys!!!

Best of luck to the rest of you still waiting. It's definitely tough to have to be so patient but I think it will all be worth it in the end. Hang in there.
 
the verizon site says that the phone shipped out on 7/6. same day as i was billed. fedex does not even have info saying it was received. just shows initiated as the step.
still no conformation email from verizon.

oh and then i get home and one of my kids says " hey dad there is a surprise downstairs on the couch for you." i run down there to look... nothing and he says " we matched some work socks for you" ... can't wait for xmas... all socks and undies for him little sh*t
 
So I'm tracking both mine and my brothers. They've been showing 7/9 since Friday.
Now, both tracking numbers do not have an estimated delivery date at all...
Verizon is teasing me. Just like how God teased Moses.


And to make things worse.... tomorrow no one is going to be home.... f.m.l.
...

...or f.m.l.a. is what i should take to be home....ha!

Not a bad idea. Too bad the stand doesn't charge the phone, too.

The mobile department at my Best Buy has been awesome and really worked with me but this is crazy. My phone is in stock, I have a preorder, and you cant give it to me? WTF??? :banghead:

They are consistent, since apparently Best Buy is getting them in stock as of today, but not selling until Thursday. Same story in two Kentucky Best Buys as far as waiting until Thursday, even if received today.
 
Finally!!! Charging it right now and it's killing me not to turn it on and play with it lol!

Finally got an official shipment email from VZW.
And a tracking number that has a PICKED UP status.

Now, to wait for the missed delivery tomorrow :(
 
alright so after i put it back in the box now awaiting to be returned, i figured screw it, Ill give it another shot here for a couple hours. Might as well right :)
 
first impresions, (phone still activating) this phone is not as light as i tought but the screen wow miles ahead better than my droid X cant really say much yet as it is still activating, cant get used to power button on the right side but time will tell

One thing I did (carried over from my Rezound experience) was download the Apex launcher. If Samsung's Android skin is not your style a different launcher can sometimes make a difference. It basically replaces a lot of the Samsung stuff with a more 'generic' Android experience.
 
I received my phone today and there was already a blemish on the phone, there was a tiny nick on the metal bezel around the phone. It's pretty big and obvious and I can see it through my clear case.... Ahhhh what to do what to do? I think I am going to call Verizon and request a new phone.
 
On Friday my card was charged and was able to get a tracking number using the order number and order location method (described on this thread a couple of times). Today i got the actual "it has shipped" email and it had a different tracking number. Not sure exactly what was going on here, but to other people who had a tracking number but no pick up notification: don't worry, it will be coming! will get my hands on it tomorrow around 3:00. (coming from Ontario Canada though, weird.)
