Verizon Prepping for iPhone?

sounds like fud to me. they are probably just upgrading their network due the increase in popularity of all smartphone and advanced devices.

doesn't make sense though iphone on the big red network what would we the idon't droid ad campaign that they spent a lot of money marketing.

Lol Apple doesn't deserve the iPhone on Verizon's network.
They should have given it to us to begin with, before we got all these better phones.
iPhone is dead, and now Apple is going to whore it out for as much money as they can.
The only reason ATT has so many customers is because of the iPhone, and when their exclusivity contract ends, it's bye bye ATT, hello Verizon.
Even though the iPhone would be useless on a CDMA network since it won't be able to do the one thing it was good at, simultaneous voice and data, not like it can multitask or anything.

heard that at&t want the iphone exclusivity until 2011. You are right i don't want the iphone to go to verizon. iphone is yesterday's technology. It has reached its peak

Verizon was the first carrier Apple shopped the iPhone to. No deal so they went to AT&T.

Moot point. We're just fine without that lame excuse for a smart phone.
On a side note, you are correct, Verizon was offered the iPhone before ATT. They turned it down, which was a smart move.
Anything else?

Apple did go to Verizon first.
Verizon said no thank you.
I hope iPhone comes to Verizon. I'll buy one when it comes to Verizon.

I'm aware of that. If you're going to get one what's the need to even be on an Android forum?

Two months ago I would have agreed with you but since November 6th, I have no desire to go backwards in time to yesterdays technology.

I have an iPhone. I stopped using it as my primary line because I can't stand AT&T. My problem is the reception, call quality, and such. I will go back to Apple the day it comes to Verizon.

So because I enjoy the iPhone I can't also like Android?
Quit the fanboy banter.
Each device has it's strengths and weaknesses...

Fanboy. K You're right you know me so well.
Someone who's going to get an Apple phone coming to an Android forum to tell us about it.
Go ahead and say something else stupid, I'm always up for adding more immature ***** to the ignore list.

Funny, today at work the iphone boys were saying "wait till the iphone 4g comes out, it'll blow everything else away" To which I respond..." I hope so, rachet up the competition so I can have all the toys running on an android OS. Meh the iphone is good for androids hardware development beyond that... I'm not interested.

You might have reception problems with that iPhone on Verizon as well. There's growing concensus that "it's the phone".

really??????????? i mean i get the whole android better than iphone mentality but you have to admit that many people on many different networks moved to AT&T for only one reason THE IPHONE so knowing that, how could you say that verizon accepting apple's offer would be a bad decision when it has worked out so well for AT&T thus far???????

They moved to ATT for the iPhone because it was an Apple product. Face it.

The phone is horrible and the only reason people like it is because it's a damn iPod touch with a phone.

but the fact is regardless of why or how, and that it most likely would not have been a bad decision for verizon to accept apple's offer
Never said it would have been a bad decision, said it was a good decision they didn't accept the offer.
It's a crap phone and we don't need it. Get over it, my god.

You literally have to be on fcking PCP in an alternative universe to think that the iphone is a POS. I like my droid better but the iphone is so much sexier looking not to mention its apple so the device will get supported for like ever. Being bitter towards a worthy oppenment such as the iphone will only bring out more fanboys defending the device willing to sell there family off to be right. That said I'm past the iphone, I still love allot of the features but if I had to pick a GSM phone to carry with me to europe it would probably be an HTC Magic or moto milestone.

It sucks. I'm sorry. Don't know what else to tell you.
LOL at worthy opponent, also. That's just too funny. I won't continue this any further so as not to spark some kind of insult war, but honestly, the iPhone does not and never will compare to Droids.

It was a smart move of verizon to say no to the iphone...iphone users are coming back because the money Verizon would have paid apple went into a new network and the better coverage is bringing At&T customers back to Verizon.

There you go.
This one gets the idea.
