[Verizon] Problem switching overclocking from ondemand to interactiveX

I am running liquid smooth with leankernal's latest release. I've heard a lot of good things about the interactiveX overclocking setting, but every time I change it to interactiveX and select set on boot, then reboot, it always reverts back to ondemand when it starts back up. I do have setcpu running as well and changing the setting in liquid controls changes both. How can I make this change permanent and what kind of benefits does it offer?

Can you try uninstalling setcpu, make sure you're on interactiveX and set on boot is checked in liquid settings and reboot, Does it work?

If not try unchecking set on boot in liquid settings and only use setcpu to select the governor and check set on boot in setcpu and see if it works.

In other words try one or the other not both at the same time

These are processor affinity settings, nothing to do with overclocking BTW!

However some may not be all that with overclocking.

Thanks guys, the fix worked. And I appreciate the color on overclocking terminology. I'm starting to get this stuff down but its still new for me.

Glad someone is learning! I've been doing it for decades now, ugh. Google those terms and redhat, and you might get a little insight and some power in the IT type world!
