Verizon Razr Maxx Price Drop

Bought my Razr Max at Verizon store on Friday ($299), today price dropped to $199. Since I'm in my 14 day trial period, called store, they are processing the refund over the phone.

Love this phone, and now I love it even more...
 
Been waiting on this for weeks!!!! Finally!
I've been holding on to my old NE2 for a year, now with the price drop, my NE2, and the $50 online discount I got it for $79 (Including the BS $30 activation charge).....I WIN, I WIN!!!!!

x2, bought mine on 5/4 just called and $100 refund is MINE!:D

EDIT, my refund was $147. Dunno why, wasn't going to complain.
 
Glad I saw this. Just got my refund too.

Bad news is that I just got rewarded for screwing off at work. That is not good for productivity.

I just called the Verizon store that I purchased mine from. He said they're still charging $299, so I guess it's a no-go for me. My only hope, may be, to return it there and re-purchase somewhere else, however that $100 isn't worth the time and energy it would take me to get a replacement phone setup with all my preferences, apps, etc.


I'm even less apt to do that, since I've already had this phone replaced once due to a faulty camera.
 
I just called Wireless Advocates and they said that they do not price match so they would not be refunding any money. I may just return mine and go to Verizon and buy it again...or wait for another phone.
 
No go, bought mine on 4/27, received and activated it on 5/2. Today is 5/16 and after 30 minutes on the phone with Verizon they said no refund.
 
I am going into my local Verizon dealer today to get my $100 back from the recent price reduction. I see some people are getting an additional $50 back as well. Some are saying its an upgrade discount... some are saying its a rebate. I have seen a $50 rebate for the regular RAZR but haven't found any info on the MAXX rebate. Can someone help me figure this out and maybe post a link or maybe exactly what I should make sure they check when they process my $100 refund. Just trying to get everything I got coming to me. THANKS!!!
 
Went to Costco today, returned it and learned that the day you buy the phone, the warehouse activates it and your 14 days begins that day regardless of if you receive it days later, which I did. I was at 17 days instead of 14. The Verizon store manager hooked me up though and did the upgrade for me anyway. New RAZR Maxx for $199.

I actually only got 50 dollars back because they extended me a New Every 2 credit of 50 bucks.
 
Militant Rabbit, I would of thought the $50 NE2 credit should be ontop of the phone price reduction. I received a $30 NE2 credit when I bought my phone last week (299-30-269 final price). When I went in to ask about the price drop they gave me the $100 price difference of the phones cost back. ????
I asked about any other discounts or rebates and they couldn't find anything so I took my 100 bucks and left happy.
 
I had seen this Droid Razr Maxx Now Only $199 from Verizon Wireless | TalkAndroid.com claiming the upgrade price would be $169 + 30 upgrade but that's apparently not the case according to the VZW rep I spoke to. Plus someone posted on another thread here that he got $100 off and when I called the same number they knew nothing about it. :(

But I do wish Costco would reduce the price soon. I spoke to a guy at the kiosk in my local Costco the other day and he thought they would do it soon.

I was at the Costco yesterday and he had no idea there was a price drop. Costco does their own thing. They don't price match and if they do end up dropping the price, it will most likely be when the next phone has arrived at Big Red.
