Verizon- Return and replace with Incredible4, keep unlimited data?

The second S3 arrived today, the wife thinks its too big and wants an Inc4.
I'll be keeping my S3.
Both S3's were ordered before the 28th deadline and have the unlimited data.
If I go to return the wife's S3, will I be able to keep the unlimited?

If not, and I have to sell the wife's S3 on ebay or through other means, do I need to active the phone first, to get the credit for having this phone on my account?

Thanks

When I asked this question in store at Verizon, I was told that you would be returning the S3 and signing a new contract for the Inc4g, meaning that you would not keep unlimited data. I asked several reps at different stores and they all told me the same thing, as I really wanted the Inc4g. Unless things have changed since June 27th, you would lose the unlimited data.

Talked to multiple Verizon reps on this issue. I ordered the S3 before the 28th but was waiting for the Inc4G (my 4.3" phone is already too big).

I was told by multiple reps that as long as you exchange it in a Verizon corporate store during your 14 day trial, you will keep your unlimited data. You cannot exchange it at any authorized retailer or send it back to Verizon, since they'd need to inspect it and they'd then reset your upgrade, but since it's now after the 28th, you'd have to give up unlimited. But apparently exchanging it at a corporate store is ok since the employees can inspect it on site and enter it into the system at the time of exchange.

The only thing that could screw you is if you didn't accept the terms & conditions when you ordered the phone. If you ordered over the phone after it was done they placed you on hold and then you had to confirm you were ordering the phone and extending your contract by pressing "1" for yes or "2" for no. I believe they have something similar if you ordered online. But if you didn't you'd be losing your unlimited anyway since you'd be acctepting the t&c after the 28th, so probably not a worry.

One other thing, have you already opened the retail box (the one that says Samsung on it)? If not, they can also waive the restocking fee since the box hasn't been opened and they can sell it new.

As I said, I've talked with multiple reps (around 6 CSRs & 4 store employees) who've confirmed this. I check back often to see if they change their story. Normally if you just ask they'll say you'll lose your unlimited, but when I tell them what i have been told previously, they'll confirm I am correct. Basically it means they'll take your unlimited if you don't know that they don't have to, but if you do know you should be able to keep it.

It's a known fact that wives will always cost you!

You'll have to activate your wife's S3, then buy an Incredible 4G outright at full price. You'll be able to do a swap activation with the INC and then wipe the S3 clean and sell as almost "New in Box" (NIB) on ebay. This should allow you to keep the unlimited plan.

If you're lucky, you may not take too big of a beating financially.

So are you still going through with getting the Incredible 4G LTE?

I'm still gonna want to check them out in person, but so far I'm leaning towards the Inc. I've had bad experiences with every Samsung product I've owned, wasn't impressed with my brother's Stratosphere (build quality & it's version of TW sucked). I figured maybe this phone would be a change, but going through the threads here it seems like it could be a crapshoot between having a positive or negative experience. Plus I'm familiar with Sense, so that's a plus. But we'll see when I get some in person time with them.

I feel the same way, as I was waiting for the INC4g until the whole unlimited data thing went out the window on the 28th. I am going to pick up my S3 this afternoon in store and will play with the INC if one is there. Coming from the Dinc, i think the s3 might be too big and I also actually liked sense. The other issue is my gf has had 3 different samsung phones and all of them have had issues (sprint versions), mainly crashing, random reboots, and some other pretty weird stuff. I have not once had a problem with my Dinc and I got mine the week before it was released.
