[Verizon] Roms, radios and bootloaders

What's the skinny on Roms, radios, and bootloader here? If I'm on a JB time, and have ICS radios and bootloader, will that effect anything? What if I update to JB bootloader then go back to an ICS rom? What makes the difference?

It's very user and location dependent (radios that is). As for the other questions, nothing really. Your good to go time to start experimenting to see what you like best. gl!

If your radios are the E-series radios, you might try flashing the F-series. It made a lot of difference in my reception.

To check your radios, go to Settings --> About Phone --> And look at the baseband version. If the last 4 are EK02, you're on old radios. You can flash the FC05 radios in Recovery (no wiping).

Tried the FC04/FC05 radios. No go for me. The leaked FC02 radios work best for me. Why can't I find anything on updating the boot loader? Seems like I remember ppl saying that the radios worked better when they updated the boot loader at the same time.

I really don't think it makes a difference, but if you go to the Jelly Belly thread I started and look under "misc links", you'll see something that says "bootloaders and more" or something like that. You can get a flashable bootloader from there and try it :)

So if I update to JB bootloader and JB rom, and still have ICS radios, it won't make a difference? The only radios that have ever worked correctly for me so far are the originals and the FA02 radios. If I update the bootloader, will that change the function opacity of my radios?

Edit: anyone heard rumors of when big red is releasing JB for our device?

How/where do I find out what my bootloader version is? I forget.

Boot the phone from off using the volume up and down holding both, then while holding both, press and hold the power button. It will say PRIMEXXXX with the "X's" being your version. LC03 is JB
