Root [Verizon] Root acquired for Android 4.4 "KitKat" on the Moto X

I read the xda thread, so I'm sure this is working. Has anyone here tried this out yet? I'm a little too squeamish to go this in depth. At least until Xposed is confirmed working on 4.4. That's my only reason for wanting root with this phone. And even that isn't a huge draw for me at the moment.

I don't know about Xposed, but the exploit is definitely working, since I have a rooted install of 4.4 on my Moto X right now...

yes i am on 4.4 root.. i think that bootanimation is buggy after completing all the step.. after successfully root it i had weird buzzy box black screen when i reboot my device. but again i still rooted.

I just got mine in the mail today, I think they shipped it with the camera OTA, trying to use rock my moto but can't seem to understand how to get the unzip command to work.

Not sure what you're referring to... The exploit is distributed as a zip file but you need a computer to use the exploit, so just use the built-in Windows zip manager, or if you're not on a Windows machine, download something like 7zip.

I'd skip RockMyMoto and jump straight to SlapMyMoto, taking the 4.4 upgrade in the process.

Its just been a long time since I had to play around with ADB for anything and I was really tired :P. I tried doing Slap last night/this morning but had to stop half way through. Reading through the topics there reminds me of why I made an account here first back on the Dx. Not to mention here I can see 50 replies per page :)
