Stock 4.1.2 verified root access, Root browser shows no files in root directory after granting it root access. Basically I want to debloat and need to know where the verizon apps are stored and which ones I can remove safely and I thought they were in the root directory.

The stock apps, or "bloat" apps, are stored in the /system/app.
I highly recommend that you use something like Titanium Backup, to back up those system apps before deletion.
Some folks go willy-nilly deleting stuff and the next thing you know, their phone acts all wonky.
Here is a partial list of apps that can/cannot be deleted:

Or, your other option is to flash a rom that has all the bloat removed:)

Also, it would be wise to make a nandroid backup before doing so, and keep a copy on your computer and sd card.
