My girlfriend has a rooted Verizon LG G2. Is there a way to install the OTA update without bricking the phone or, alternately, is there a way to stop the OTA updates?

if its rooted dont mess with the OTA..... if it doesnt already have custom recovery chances are good at the very least some other changes have been made.... otherwise it wouldnt bother to be rooted....... some of which will leave you cursing and scrambling if you try the OTA (not to mention posting a lot of questions on how to fix it)
if you want to stop the OTA you can freeze an app called Software Update MUC
if you want to update you have 2 options...... flash an updated ROM...... or use the tot to go back to stock then take the OTA

Already went through that. Tried to install the OTA update which put the phone into TeamWin and I got help to fix that. Thank you.
