Verizon, small android with good phone

I am on Verizon, don't trust the iPhone 5s with all the issues so I am looking to switch to a smaller android (smaller than S4 or G2) with as simple a UI as possible with decent battery life and as good a camera as possible . I have looked into Moto X and Droid mini but they tell me their cameras suck.
Must be on Verizon and available from a Verizon or relayed store.
Any help or hands on reviews would be appreciated.

iPhone camera is pretty darn hard to beat with an Android phone. Have you looked into HTC One Mini? It's not as "mini" as the Droid and S4 minis (it is a bit taller, some would say almost like a remote control), but with a good camera.

I don't think the one mini is with Verizon. I have strongly considered the droid mini and moto x but their cameras seem to be lacking.

If the camera is your deal breaker I think you are going to have a really hard time finding a replacement...
