Im sitting in vzw right now with a sales person who is on with tech support. Apparently I am the fourth person today to have their s3 constantly drop signal then say insert sim card. The people before me have replaced multiple sim cards.

As soon as u go to make a call it drops the service all together.

Anyone else?

Waiting to see if software update will fix or if im gonna get a replacement

No problems here. I just moved from att to verizon today! The only issue I have and it's off topic is very dark pics while inside with low light. Will start another thread.

The first night I had the phone, I went to make a call for the first time and a voice came on saying that they are not able to authenticate my phone. I exited out and then made the call again and it was fine and havent had the issue again. so idk what that was about lol

sorry to get off topic, but those of you saying this is the best phone you've had... why and what android phones have you previously had? thanks.

I had an issue where I punched in the number I wanted to call then tapped the number and nothing happened (I tried a few times). Reset the phone and then call went through. Also during that time I made a call but didn't hear what it said as I was testing/showing wife how some features work (phone is for her). I chalked it up to me just deleting Google Voice and maybe something happened because it hasn't happened again. I will say that she was scared as hell getting this phone as she is technologically challenged to say the least and she so far LOVES the phone.

Mine has done that too.

I'm extremely happy with this phone. I've had the OG Droid, Fascinate, Thunderbolt, Nexus and now this. For now, I'm hanging on to the Nexus while I mess with this. I'll likely sell the Nexus on Craig's List in a bit.

I experienced that with my phones simply because I switch so many phones throughout the year. Most of the time its really a problem with the SIM registration system on VZW. With folks activated their sweet GS3 im sure the system is acting up. Its not phone related.

HTC incredible and the Thunderbolt. I would claim the S3 to be the best smartphone I have ever owned (thinness, hardware, camera). However I think the Incredible was my favorite. If you put HTC sense on the S3 it would the perfect smartphone ever made. However I don't know why Tocuhwiz is considered so bad. Its not terrible, but HTC Sense is definitely a step above.

I am not aware of this issue on Verizon yet.
