Verizon store accepting preorders... supposedly

Stopped by another vzw store and they are now offering supposedly true preorders that will ship on the 14th to your house on the 15th.

No idea if its true, but he said it started this morning.

I didn't do it cause if it didn't show up I'd get 2 dings on my credit as there's a credit check required for it.

Figured I'd mention it tho!
 
I called (800) 922-0204 and asked there about it and she said stores shouldn't be any different than what she can do and cannot do any pre-orders. So what she thinks is he would ring it through the morning of the 15th and it would be to me by the 16th. I knew it sounded too good to be true ;)
 
i called my local verizon store and they let me reserve one. took my name and number and they said they would hold one for me! they are opening at 9 am but i will probly be there like 2 hours early...
 
same here i called verizon and they told me to call that day released (30 min before) they will hold for me but ill be there early anyways
 
Just stopped by my local corporate store. Rep tried to officially pre-order one for me, but the system would not let him submit the order. He said he could take down my info and hold one for me, but also stated that they're easily going to have enough on hand for release day so I declined. I'm now in limbo as to whether on not I'm going to order it online or get it at the store and deal with the MIR.

The store in my area told me they would have plenty in stock but after hearing all of these stories about people being told they were getting 20 or so in stock for first day im beginning to wonder. I did preorder one from bestbuy but would rather get it from verizon in case i have any issues
 
My local store took my name and filled out a contract form to hold one. No money exchanged hands yet. They are opening an hour early, was hoping for a midnight launch as it's a pretty nice store. Patience... bah.

You know I'm going to be real pissed if I show up and find out all the X are being held for others even though they weren't taking preoders. :mad:
