Verizon to start charging to pay your bill

theyre only really trying to deter you from using a card.

im set up through my bank's Bill Pay feature.. which isnt auto-pay

Which is stupid as you can still use a card in-store to pay your bill.

How is that any different?

It's different because now they have your bank account and routing number.

Now it will be easier for them to recover funds from a delinquent account now that they have all of your banking information.

I'd rather pay a fee then give them even 1 number of my bank information.

They don't keep your bank information on file if you use your banks bill pay service.
