Root [Verizon] Unlock Verizon S3 ?

No you do not have to unlock it to root it. You only have to unlock it if you want to change your kernel.
U can use the ez unlock app or flash it with odin. I just got done rooting, unlocking, and flashing twrp using the odin flasher actually. Google "root Verizon gs3 4.1.1" theres alot of video tutorials that are easy to follow, in case ur scared of a brick. For some reason ppl freak when there isnt a one click root option haha

I did this exact procedure for my Darling Bride's S3 and it worked like a dream. Read, read, read! Get the right files to the right location, take a big breath and dive in. Took me about 15-20 minutes and it was DONE.
