Help Verizon update this morning

It is to fix the security flaw. Verizon also locked down a lot of features in this update. it takes away root as well. if you are rooted and/or have a rom, it can brick your phone.

Not a good update.

I got this update last Friday from Verizon, and since then my wi-fi has not been working nearly as well. I connect to wi-fi both at home and at work to save on data usage, and they were rock-solid connections before. Now, not so much - they keep dropping all the time. Anyone else noticed this

Didn't you guys get a full screen applet prior to and following the update's download and installation? In that applet (on my N2 anyway) was a description of the fixes along with version number, etc.

Wish I'd taken a screen shot. :o

Got this security update (or whatever it is). It felt like a forced update with everything downloaded already, just had to confirm to reboot the phone. Haven't noticed any changes - no new multi-window apps, not change in battery drain.

Unless they pushed out two updates really quickly, I believe this update was to patch the Exynos exploit as well as patch up the bootloader unlock exploit.

So is there anyway to block this update and all update notifications on a non-rooted Note 2? If I understand it right, even if you are rooted, if you are still on the stock ROM you will receive the update notification. There has to be a way to get rid of this.
