Root [Verizon] VuTalk Issues?

[LG G2]

Is anyone aware of an issue with VuTalk? I have one and it says VuTalk no longer available. I just got my girlfriend and her mom G2s and they are having the same problem. Any word?
Thanks.

Ummm... Yeah, apparently you missed it, LG is shutting down the VuTalk service completely... actually, it was supposed to be shutdown July 1, but an update from the Play Store removes it from the phone so if you have automatic updates turned on, well, LG just forced itself on you. They actually started a staggered roll-out of the uninstaller in early June.

There has been no official press release or announcement from LG, other than this little tidbit in the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lge.vmemo

after you delete it the uninstaller is still on there though.
