Root [Verizon] VZW trying to force 4.3 update.

Is your device the S3? I only ask because your info states you have the Droid X and I'm not sure if that last few posts of this thread would help:

You can delete the update in the /cache folder. After you delete the update, you can freeze sdm and another file to keep the phone from pulling down the update and notifying you. There's a thread further down in this section where someone asked the same thing. I can't get you the link right now since I'm on the mobile app, but it shouldn't be too hard to find.

Which /cache folder?
I've got Titanium Backup, so I'm good to go when it's time to freeze sdm. I just need to figure out where to access the /cache folder. I'm getting the daily "There is an update for your phone" message, and I'm getting tired of telling it to postpone. So I haven't actually downloaded the update yet. I just want to keep from getting the update message.

I would assume this folder:
You can access that with any file explorer that has root access such as ES file explorer or Root Explorer apps.
I can only assume that, as the only files I personally have in that folder are:
dalvik-cache
lost+found
recovery.
Perhaps yours has the update download in it??
That's kinda what I thought too... looked inside that folder, and it's empty. So that would lead me to believe that I have not yet downloaded the update. So far, so good.
In Titanium, I see the subheader for Freeze/Defrost. So I will try the SDM freeze and see how that goes.

Sorry for not replying sooner, but I've been busy with school. I couldn't find the exact website I found earlier that had the instructions for the s3, but it should still be the same as for nexus devices. I think the update (if it's been downloaded) is just called update.zip on our phones, but I can't remember since I got rid of the update and flashed cm11 street my phone downloaded it and tried to have me install it.
