Oh and btw I was wondering even if I do have a PP5 and when I downgrade and root it doesnt have black and white bars as mentioned would it still be possible to stop the bootloops or is it no chance?
ya know, if it doesn't have the graphics issue it should be possible.
the problem causing the bootloop is the radio/modem firmware.
the black and white graphics problem comes from incompatible graphics driver that's located in the /boot partition
If you're not graphics issue, then replaceing the radio firmware with the partitions tool should work, I've had no problems using the .img's i provided in the "Backups " part of my Kit.
tho if those files were corrupted somehow....
maybe re-download?
or the hard way is to extract the .dz from the .kdz and then extract the split's from the inside of the .dz file and combine those to create a .img file that you can restore to the device using the partitions tool by wanam.
for working with the kdz stuff you'd need a real linux machine, virt's didn't work.
but tools exist on the web for manipulating the files.
https://github.com/ehem/kdztools
but the python script had to be changed a bit to get it to work with the newer files...
I feel that you've got to be doing part 2 step 5 wrong....
maybe try the tut from scratch after flashing to pp7 with lgup refurbish option, then instead of makeing a back-up with the partition tool, just push My backup to it and "restore " that.
