I have a samsung galaxy s3 running 4.4.2 and it was rooted using towelroot. I decided that I wanted to install the twrp custom recovery and did it through the playstore (installing the rashr app). When I rebooted into recovery mode it gave me the

Installing the latest OTA via ODIN will work, but it will also unroot you.

I'm a little behind the times with the S3, but you were successful installing TWRP?? Or were you not able to exactly get into TWRP.?

I was not able to access the twrp recovery... it gave me the "system software not authorized by verizon error" thanks for the help btw and i will be restoring my phone using odin.
