verizons or gomatic??

im looking into buying a car mount for my phone......navigation and phone purposes mainly and was wondering if i should get verizons model made specifically for it or the gomatic model that is universal for basically a number of phones.....id like the verizon cause once you insert your phone, the car mount screen becomes available but, the gomadic can be installed in the car vent instead of the window making it lower and possibly easier to see and function it....does anyone have either of these and can maybe give me some advice on which one to get? thanks...

I have the motorola brand dock, and it is nice to have it go to the car dock screen. but the best part is i have the one with the built in charging port. you hook your car charger up to the dock, and slide the phone down in the dock and you are charging! voila!
