Root verizons reaction to your custom rom.

Have you or yet to, walked in a verizon dealer and they tried telling you the ally is a disgrace then you show off your rom and blow it in their face?
I know i made my latest verizon seller jaw drop when he seen bionic lol but ofcourse there was another dealer telling me it was fake. The stands at the mall are more friendlier than the actual store it seems.
Sometimes i think to myself, how can you be selling android devices when you cant even identify the correct os?
Anyone have any latest experiences like this?

I had velocity 1.1 w/ thunderbolt theme. I had to explain why my ally said 4g at the top. He was wondering how it had 4g

I walked into a verizon store with my boss to check out phone cradles. He asked to see my ally and I had velocity 1 .1 running live log cat for the boot screen and system stats live on the live background. At first he was wondering what the hell but after he clicked through some things said this phone was snappier than his modded moto droid with cyanogen cm7 on it. I was like hell yeah to the velocity devs

I actually prefer not to show them, since it's a breach of contract.
I'd rather not have my contract dropped for no reason.

Modding your phone is not a breach of contract. It might void your warranty, though.

And why should a VZW salesman be expected to recognize a recent custom ROM for a phone that was discontinued on 31 March? Given that it's been discontinued and was the entry-level offering anyways, I can't blame them for calling it fake, especially if your attitude towards them was anything like the one in your post

I've never really had it come up, but then I haven't been cell phone shopping lately. Not much in the way of options for phones with good hardware keyboards, unfortunately, plus I'm cheap
