Very good beta launcher

Just came across this and it is pretty smooth.

YouTube - LauncherPro Beta: The best, smoothst and fastest Launcher for Android!

I've been running this all day and it is extremely smooth so far. I have tried others (Zeam, Helix, Home++) and so far this one is the nicest. The app tray is smoother than stock or sense. Didn't expect that.

It seems pretty snappy to me as well. :)

Edit: I can't seem to make it out in the vid how he gets to "zoom out" and see the different home screens. Can someone clarify that for me?

Hit the home button when you are on any home screen.

I was using it today and noticed that if you are in any shortcut in that bottom preloaded bar and hit the home button it automatically brings you to the helicopter view instead of your home screen.

Playing around with it for a while:
-No interaction with live wallpapers (they work but touch effects dont work)
-No landscape mode

On the good news, the developers blog ( Update: LauncherPro Beta v0.1.1 ) is saying that there will be an update soon to fix the live wallpaper bug and fixed some other bug where widgets were not updating after change in # of homecreens

is anyone else having a problem with the stock widgets not showing? it only shows the widgets that I downloaded. I can't get to the original clock/weather or Twitter widgets...

other than that I love this thing!

Like this a lot.

I normally switch between GDE and Sweeter Home - but if this dev introduced a similar app dock to the one in GDE (or if someone made one for market), I thik I would be sold on this one.

Also if the icons next to the app drawer were customisable also, eg - to launch a different browser/messaging app.

I was playing with this and i do like it. If i set this as default, where would i find the setting to change back to the HTC sense? thanks

I use an app call 'home switcher', much faster when switching lauchers...or you could do it the old fashion way and go into setting...which I always have a hard time finding :/ it's one of those settings that's really burried
