Help Very perplexing issue related to web browsing speed.

I got my Nexus several months ago, and up until a few weeks ago Chrome and Firefox were loading pages extremely fast. Now, for some reason both browsers load every page painfully slow. When I load a page both browsers just sit there doing nothing for around 5 seconds, while the WIFI icon remains solid blue. Then for a half of second or so the wifi icon gets the grey up and down line, representing that data is being transferred. This happens on and off for a good 30-45 seconds per page load. Additionally, when I voice search on chrome by pressing the microphone on the address bar, the voice search pops up immediately and tells me to talk, but after it beeps in confirmation, it too just sits there for several seconds. After around 20 or so seconds of waiting the wifi bar gets a line across it then the google page opens immediately. Here is the perplexing part though. When I load the speedtest.net application it shows I am getting around 16mbps up minimum, and during the whole test there is zero lag, and the grey line is on the wifi icon the entire time. When I play Shadow Gun online, again, there is zero lag for the entire duration of the game. Why does only web browsing on two browsers not work, but other applications do, and good at that? I tried using new DNS servers and restarting my Nexus and router, but it is still screwed up. Anybody have any ideas how I can fix this? Having my Nexus cruise the web at dial up speeds is not fun! Thanks in advance!

i have no idea why it would do that, but first thing i would try is deleting cookies and all that in the settings,
and then try to go to settings, into apps menu, and click on the browser, then "clear data".
I'm not sure if it deletes bookmarks (though im pretty sure it shouldn't).
hope it solves it for you..

How much free storage do you on your N7? I have seen my voice search not even work in the last week or so, I think it is Google not the N7 slowing down.

Of course right after I post this thread I fixed it.. Anyways, as suggested, I cleared all of the browser cache files in the chrome settings, but that didn't initially do anything. For the heck of it, I download App2SD, which has a system wide cache clearer. Surprisingly upon opening the app it said I had several GBs of cached files, which I then removed. My whole Nexus feels like it got a steroid shot or something. Before apps used to take 5 or so seconds to open, but now pretty much everything I do on the tablet is instantaneous, and of course the browsers now work.
