Very quick notes app

[brownbag68]

I'm looking for an app with a simple widget to go into an existing note and update a value quickly. I just have a simple numerical value which I need to update from time to time. There are a few apps around with small widgets that take you into a note. But in each one of them you click the app/widget and first have to click on an edit button (typically a pencil) before you can actually edit the value.
I want to just go in and make the change.
Does anybody know of anything that will do this?

Not sure if this would help you, but the app I use is called Inkpad. It is free download from the Android market. Once you create a note, to edit it, all you have to do is tap the title of the note, the note opens and the on screen keyboard opens to allow you to add any text you want. As soon as you hit the Back button on your phone, the text you added is automatically saved.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the tip, but unfortunately Inkpad has no widgets. I'm looking for one just like it but with widgets. It is quick, but would be quicker if it had small widgets to take you directly to a note.

I like GNotes.

Thanks - gmail is great. It does have quick widgets. Shame it doesn't have shortcuts to existing notes (only new notes), as these can be added into folders. But you can't expect everything.

Try "ColorNote". You can place your notes as widget on your home screen. once you open the note/widget, either double tap it or press the pen button to edit it.
