I'm on my second smartphone, and the first, a simple Samsung Galaxy Ace, was rooted, partitioned, and did his duty. I recently buyed a Quechua Phone and after run-in, I wanted to redo the whole (for me) via crucis of root, to free up space on the board.

That said, I've rooted the new phone, but before move the various apps I remembered that I have to do the partition. I remember with the old Samsung did not have to connect the sd nowhere (having no adapter) but now I can not find any solution if you do not buy a mini sd adapter as well as the adapter to attach to your PC.

But everything seems to work using Mini Tool Partition Wizard, until you have to enable Mass Storage Mode and on Quechua Phone (android 4.1.2) seems impossible. No options in setting, no 7 tap on build number, nothing.

BUT! it seems that enabling Mount SD from the options connections Usb, Mini Tool detects both SDs to make the partition... AND LOCK ME HERE:

I have absolutely no idea (or memory) sd on what I have to do the partition: I have a 2 gig SD card and a 1 GB SD of 1 GB. Which of the two should be partitioned?

I've some app like ES File Explorer to try to understand where are the system file (should I first format the sd to make a partition... right?) and and not to partition here, but I can't figure out where or which the system files are (i hate smartphone!).

reddit can help me to overcome this chasm so I can finally make some space and install new apps? and everything I've written so far makes sense? =P sorry for my english

TL;DR: how do I figure out which of my two sd should I partition to prevent the phone goes brick? AND HOW THE HELL I can say to my phone to store app data in the partition too?

OK, your main problem is that Android 4.1.2 no longer supports USB mass storage - it uses a Microsoft standard called MTP instead, and you can't partition a card that way. If you want to partition your card the simplest is probably to just spend a few
