Help Very slow charging

t12b25

Android Enthusiast
Hi everybody, it seems that no matter which charger I'm using my phone is charging very slowly. Right now I'm on 64% and it says 6 hours till full. Any ideas I recently upgraded to 5.1. I need help. Thank you,
Anthony.

Have you tried other chargers? Or does it charge slowly with any charger you use? I'm assuming you're using a wired charger, now a QI.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I've tried 3 chargers the worse takes 10 hours idk why. The best I've gotten was 5-6 hours. Today took me 6 hours to get from 40%-100%. Is that normal?. Thank you for the help,
Anthony.

It usually take me about 3-4 hours for charge, and after it hits 100%, it will keep it on for at least half an hour and then unplug it. Not sure if your situation is normal, but I really suggest you change to another charger.

Hi, I just looked at gsam it seems my SOT has also dropped from 2:40 avg to 1:55 I don't think that's normal... Not sure if slow charging and battery are related, but it made me worry . Any ideas?. Thank you everyone for all the help,
Anthony .

If the running services draw a more power now, it'll take longer to charge. Try charging turned off to ensure it's not a hardware issue.

Check out "Ampere"

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gombosdev.ampere

That may show the current left over on a running phone used for charging.
Hi, installed the app avg seems to be between 10-50 every once in a while it'll go to 150, and maybe once or twice did it go to 3100. Is that normal?. At 3 am I was at 46%, by 9 am I was at 76% it doesn't seem right.
Thank you all for the help,
Anthony.

No, I tend to get between 700 and 900 mA, and definitely average above 800.

Your chargers have a 1000 and 2100 mA capacity - getting 3100 isn't normal at all. The app can get fooled when it's gone above 5V and not display voltage correctly - it just adjusts current based on the 5V assumption.

That's not at all ok and probably indicates that the usb board is shot.

Separate charger, spare battery, and wifi data transfers are probably your best bet.

If I were you, I'd get them ASAP.
