Viber?

Do you need to get an account from somewhere to use the app?

I dont really know a lot about IP telephony accounts and where to get a good free one from.

No account needed and it reads your contacts to see who has it, free international calls and sms to your heart's desire without having to log in!!

Quick question from a techno gimp, how do you find the firmware version on the phone??

It's probably looking straight at me and i can't see it!!

Cheers.

Good call quality, no need to login...looks good. I've signed up and waiting for the invite.

Btw, do you happen to know how much data a voice call eats up?

Signed up to a list apparently. Not sure what they do next
Wait for an invite I guess. According to the Phandroid article from 2 days ago; "The company will be rolling out Viber for Android to 500 users this week, with more to come over the coming weeks"

We must have missed the first draft.

Signed up will be fun to try over wifi but data plans in Canada arn't nearly as great as our american neighbors so we'll see what 1GB/month will get me :(

Just turn on a 3g watchdog type app when you make a call. Take the data used during that period and divide it by how many minutes you were on the call. Do this a few times and take the highest rate and use that as your data usage per minute rate.

I got my beta invite today. Will be trying it out later but I already like the look of it. It's far more user friendly and less annoying than Skype.

I signed up soon after it was announced and I had to wait a few weeks.

There seems to be a lot of people interested and it doesn't look they're rushing the beta -trying to do it right the first time.

It's a great app, I just don't have many people to call.

I heard about this from a friend (iphone user) who boasted only an iphone feature lol, anyways i signed up :D

Viber looks like a really interesting app, ignoring the difference in call quality between skype and viber (This is very debatable) i really love the fact viber doesn't need any login or settings things up every time you start your phone, very neat, i look forgot to the beta
