Help Vibrate and Haptic feedback not working after ICS

Anyone else notice this issue?

As I google this subject, it seems that other droid forums have this subject come and report back is that it's a know bug but seems like I'm the first no post it in this Forum, am I the only one, anyone? Bueller?

Any help with an answer on how to resolve this issue would be great.

Vibration and haptic feedback have been working fine for me. In fact, you can customize the length of the vibration in ICS. As stupid as that may sound, I like that feature.

Have you performed a factory reset? Many common issues after a major software update such as GB to ICS are solved with a factory reset.

I get haptic feedback, but i have vibrate set on text, but I get no vibrate. Any ideas on how to get that?

Also, how to do factory reset on this phone, and does this mean re downloading all apps again and re setting up all accounts again?

It's pretty much the same on any Android phone. App Drawer, Settings, Privacy, Factory data reset. And yes, it will wipe out all apps, customization, accounts, etc. It puts the device in a state as if it was taken out of the box.

Nah, I did not do a factory reset, I just cleared all the data and cache from the apps and did a soft reboot.

I'm still hoping to avoid the factory reset, all my (100+) phone contacts have custom ringtones and pics (which I cannot back up) and this is the biggest time consuming task if I was to reset, the apps I'm not worried about.

I was fishing to see if anyone else had this issue and found a different way to resolve it.

Is there a setting for the "type" of a vibrate? For example if the volume setting was turned down so low there would be no sound, is there something like that for the vibrate mode?

No vibrate on texts for me either. It vibrates when I push the selection in settings to set it to vibrate when I recieve a text, but when I get an actually text I get nothing...

I got mine to vibrate when recieving a text successfully now, not sure if will help anybody else but I had to go to System Settings, and then Sound, and then I had to check the box on Vibrate and Ring...

Yeah, mine was already checked on Virbate and Ring. I can switch and phone to Virbate only, then call my phone and see it wake up but no vibration.
