Vibrate/Silent mode

Is it possible to change the ringer to vibrate & silent using the volume rocker in Gingerbread & Ice cream sandwich? I have froyo on my phone & I can only switch to either vibrate or silent mode using the volume rocker.

Yes this is possible in Gingerbread. I haven't really messed with Ice Cream Sandwich enough to notice, but I assume the function is there. ;)
