Vibrations with notification/calls

I have had other Galaxy phones before, and coming from an avid iPhone user, the vibrations for galaxy don't seem to be as noticeable. When I have my phone on 'vibrate' at work and other places that sound is not an option, I miss calls and messages because even in a holster on my side, I can't feel the vibration of the phone. I have checked the vibration intensity setting and it's maxed out. Am I missing something here? I use vibrate a lot, and wish I could make it a more intense vibration in order to not be missing notifications.

I agree it seems to be softer than the Fascinate Galaxy S model I own.

but, I attribute that to the phone just being larger and being housed in a Speck CandyShell Grip case...

I always wear my cellphones in my shirt pocket.... the vibration will wake me up if asleep, and even at work running heavy equipment, I still feel it. I wear T-shirts with pockets...grip tight to the skin.

If it was that important to you getting vibration notifications, you shouldn't be wearing your phone in a holster. I'd do like AZ said, wear it in your shirt pocket or in in your pants front pocket. I do and I feel the vibration just fine that way. Also consider getting one of those watches... that would work too.
