video blackout

i have a big black dog. anytime i want to record her with her taking up just a portion of the screen the droid screen turns very very dark almost all black. to the point hwere i can t really make out what i am recording. whats the point? i have tried differnt settings but i still get the same thing. has anyone else had this problem with the camera goinng black?

Yeah....are you trying to do this indoors or outdoors in good lighting?

im not sure. i was in my kitchen during noon time. I have excellent lightening there since we have sky lights. It was a bright area and i was aiming the camera down away from the incoming light. I really dont get it. i recently had to pull my battery for another camera issue so im kind of thinking at the moment that i might have already fixed the problem. will report back soon.

nope still only works outside but not really inside at all.
