I currently have a HTC Desire, and a family member was asking for advice about a new phone. She was thinking of the iphone 4, and I almost had her convinced to get a Desire until she mentioned she needs video calls. I explained about the iPhone 4s limited video calling which put her right off it, but frankly the Desire isn't much use for them either.
I have read that the Galaxy has a front facing camera, so I am I right to assume it does Video calls? How exactly are these achieved? Is there any way to do these over skype at the moment?
She doesn't really need a "Smartphone", just a decentish camera, calls, texts, internet browsing and video calls to make calls to her father whilst he is off shore so he can see his grandson grow! I think she should go with a large screen android device purely for the awesome browser, but maybe you guys know of other phones that would meet the requirements?
