Video file format - S3?

I am upgrading to the S3 from my GalaxyS tomorrow and wondered what settings would work best for movie files on my new phone. I use Wondershare Video Creator on my PC and want to balance overall quality without having massive files. Note that I have a 32GB MicroSD card, so storage space isn't a primary concern:

-File type (AVI / MP4 / etc)
-Resolution (1280 x 720?)
-Frame rate (29.97fps?)
-Video Bit Rate (kbps)
-Audio sample rate (Hz)
-Audio bit rate (kbps)

Don't need to convert any video files if you don't want to. 720p dictates resolution, anything above 30fps is good, and audio is subjective to your own tastes. Also, int'l version has different sound system from N American version I believe, so what may be quality sound settings for someone, may sound crappy to you.

1080p gives you the best resolution.

That depends on your source. If your source is 29.97 then it's 29.97. Otherwise, film content is mostly 23.976 (24p)

-Video Bit Rate (kbps)
5 mbps average. If it allows min/target/max, set it to 2mbps/5mpbs/8mbps.

-Audio sample rate (Hz)
48khz

-Audio bit rate (kbps)
256Kbps is good enough

Great; thanks. I'm trying to move video files from my PC to the S3, but Kies Air times out / gets errors before it's complete. And my PC doesn't recognize my phone for drag-n-drop moving of files. Urg.

yes yes! agreed. any phone or tablet is much happier playing 720p video.
