Video has no picture, only sound

I have a E-973 with a problem. When I try to watch videos on the phone (recorded with its own camera), there is just a black screen with sound. Streaming video on youtube and the internet works just fine. Ideas?

I should also mention that I have rebooted twice, and I'm running 4.1.2

Fixed, just learned you can turn the brightness up/down/off by swiping up and down.
