Video keeps reloading, never plays

stofvod

Lurker
I've done the stupidest thing in my life, I accidentally clicked a facebook video. This video killed my phone video abilities in total, which is weird but the video is in fact not a virus video?
Every video whether on youtube, my own downloaded videos, self created videos...regardless of the media player it loads for 5 secs, I hear the audio, I see a black screen and then the video stops
On my regular video player it says 'sorry the video could not be loaded' on youtube it just reloads and reloads and reloads.

I've looked it up, cleaned my cache and temporary files, downloaded an anti-virus app, but nothing. Absolutely nothing. Is there someone with a simular issue or anyone who has a solution?

I have a HTC desire X but I'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with my type of phone, that's why i placed it in this forum

Please help, thank you!

Have you tried different internet connections?

On Chrome= reloading error
on internet explorer= it loads and plays but with a black screen

I don't have any other browsers on my phone at the moment

Read a lot about dolphin browser, maybe should do that

Also I was wondering if maybe it has t do with a codec?
Because it can't be just the browser, if not even a regular video on my SD card won't play

With internet connection I mean routers/hotspots/... Not browsers. For downloaded videos you can try mxplayer and the codec (it will ask to install the codec once you installed mxplayer.

I'm sorry I was mistaken
well I tried with 3g, same problem
I already installed mxplayer but that did not fix it. That's why I mentioned the codex

I FOUND THE SOLUTION
It looked way too weird to be true but in the Motorola section somebody had the exact same problem and there it was suggested to take out your battery and put it back in.
I have no idea what it has to do with video players but it worked so you won't hear me complain

thank you nieltab for trying to help
