Can I shoot video on my new Samsung Galaxy S7 like my wife can on her iPhone? I've looked all over the internet and I can't find a definitive answer.

Even non-smartphones with a camera can shoot videos. In the camera app, just tap the record button (red circle) to start recording videos.
