Help Video play-back issues

Hi all,

My Note 3 is superb except one of the key features!! The play back function.

The video lags to buggery which I seem to have sorted when viewing on my actual phone but when I transfer the file to my macbook, the video lags big time. Audio is fine.

On the actual phone, I forced GPU rendering mode as I heard that would resolve it. Sometimes when I play back a video on my phone, it doesn't lag, but will just simply stop - like a youtube video would if it was buffering.

Finally, when I go in to files - images and select a photo, it takes way too long to load and when it does load, you can't swipe to the next photo as the phone seems to freeze.

I have restored the phone but this didn't help.

You're dealing with a complete idiot here, so sorry in advance.

I'm recording in HD and I'm just using whatever the software is with the note 3. That's as detailed as I can be :-(

Are you rooted and can you get into the photo area aka gallery

Yeah, I can get into the photo gallery, but every time I do it will a) take ages to display a photo and b) once loaded, won't let me swipe left or right to look at other pics (first time round)

O OK can I ask do you have a SD card in your device .

Nope. No SD card. Phone is only a few months old and I haven't necessarily got several GB worth of media files on there.

I dont know how much movie data you downloaded but if u jam up the device internal memory it will cause it to lag and move sllllllooooowwwww.with a SD card you can put your movies and photos along with mp3 on the card . causing the android to exchange the cached files to move free and this will free up memory so the device will move freely and fast . if u test this out with putting the video on your PC/laptop and deleting the one on your device reboot and watch IG and post back if its faster .

Nope - I have very little amount of memory used up - which is concerning as the phone is acting as if I'm hammering the usage.



The problem now only appears to be the playback quality on my macbook. Lags basically.
