Help video quality

Hi,

I am using an HTC One m9+ supreme camera Edition. My question is, everything that involves a video, now automatically loads on the lowest video resolution. I had to set my YouTube to play videos on the highest quality. However, Google Play Store videos still load at the lowest, unless I set it to the highest resolution. However, it goes back to the lowest, when I re-watch the video. Sometimes, it'll go up to 480p on its own. Is this natural, or is something wrong with my settings? My video playbacks were always crisp and clear. But today, I notice videos playing in horrible quality. My carrier is t mobile. I do not have a t mobile account. Or is one made automatically, when I joined their network? Also, let me mention, it recently happened today, I have been using t mobile since I got this phone.

Video quality adjusts to the one which would play fastest and smoothest based on your internet speed.

I'm using Wi-Fi though. So, does this also relate to Wi-Fi? Could it be that my work Wi-Fi is a little slow today? I use Wi-Fi like 80% of my day.
