Video Recording Error Failure...

Haven't come across this issue and wondering if anyone knows how to fix this? I have had a problem of late recording video using any of my camera apps, in that once I hit the record button it beeps again, does not record. Or, I get the warning recording failed error using the stock app..it worked after updating to kitkat but now not even clearing data helps..

Any ideas?
 
It's still under warranty, so bring it to the carrier and let them worry about it. (Just make sure you have everything backed up, in case a reflash doesn't fix it and they give you another phone.)
 
was hoping to not have to do that as the phone is fine otherwise...I sense it is a kitkat issue, and it's such a pain to back everything up I have all my screens customized to the way my OCD likes it lol...
 
It is a Kit-Kat issue. My camera's video record function worked perfectly until I updated to Kit-Kat...now it gives me the same error message you are receiving whenever I try to video record, and I have to go to Settings > Apps > All > Camera > Clear Cache and Clear Data every time before I can record.

Very unfortunate flaw, but alas, just like being stuck with not being able to download to SD card anymore, we are also stuck with the video recording flaw as well...

Yeah it will.

But it looks like the member above me described the solution, per what I requested a few posts ago, however, it looks like you need to clear the Cache every single time you record again. :(

It's a fix, but not a good one.

when it happens now I have had success rebooting...forgot to try clearing the cache when I come across but will do that again, quicker fix if it works. Anyhow, I did a full restore just to get the couple of annoying issues taken care of...
