Help video text can't be played

When I get a text with a video, I can't play the video. Get message, "Sorry, this video cannot be played."

Is there any way to play the video in the text?

Is the video opening up your YouTube app? That's the only way you can view vids since they are previewed in HTML5 and not Flash (the stock unrooted OpV does not support Flash).

Likely a different format, download quick pic, then open it with that from the options list when it pops up. If it still has error get mx video player and mx arm 6 codec.

Downloaded mx video player and mx arm 6 codec. Still get message, "Sorry, this video cannot be played." I checked out Quick Pic, but it looks like it is for still pics, not video ??

I'm trying to open a video that was attached to a text message. The format of the video is 3gp.

It does video too but he doesn't advertise because it's not the focus of it. Save the attachment then use a file explorer and open it with mx player.

If Ben's suggestion doesn't play out, then check the validity of the video file itself by testing and playing it on your PC via WMP (w codec) and/or VLC. That video file may have been corrupted somehow during transmission and/or processing. MX player suggested by Ben should work...

I personally use the MoboPlayer which is very much similar to the MX player. I know for sure that MoboPlayer supports the 3gp format as I just downloaded a 3gp video to test, and it played fine on my OV.

HTH...

I have mx player and quikpic, they both play videos well. Sometimes depending on the video i have to pause for about 30 seconds or so. If I don't pause, the video will keep stopping!
