Help Video to DVD disc

Can someone please point me to the relevant thread that will show me how to burn all the video I have recorded with my desire HD, onto a DVD disc. Also, how do I burn my photos onto a blank disc as the adobe downloaded on my computer takes absolutely everything off my phone, including screenshots of Internet pages etc which are quite clearly not photos I have taken with the phones camera.
In short, I would like to burn all the video I have on the gallery app on my phone onto a DVD disc and I would also like to burn all the photos I have taken which are also on my gallery app, onto another disc.

Plug phone into computer with USB, mount as disk drive. Browse to where on phone the videos and photos are stored and copy them to computer. Find software like Nero and burn to DVD as a DVD Rom disk.

Job done.

Step by step in simple terms please.
P.S every time I select mount as a disk drive when I connect phone to pc, the phone switches back and the screen on the pc shows a " no phone connected " screen.
I'm confused and annoyed that this isn't a lot more straightforward.

I'm not really sure I can be much more straightforward. I've listed it step by step in simple terms.

When you say "phone not found" I assume you mean through HTC sync. Have a look in Windows Explorer instead for any drives named "removable disk". You'll find your photos and videos buried in there somewhere.
