Video won't stop playing!!!

I was using the app stumble upon and i came upon something that played documentaries so i began to play one of them but it was lagging so i closed it without pausing it and now it is still playing even though i have closed the app. I tried going back to the site to pause the video but when i click on it it starts to play it again while the old one is still playing. i am using the samsung galaxy nexus running jellybean. Can anyone help me out?

Have you tried things like turning off the phone or killing the process in the running apps menu?

Take the battery out for a minute or two. That should stop the video from playing.

When you try playing it again make sure your browser is compatible to play videos like that properly.

Otherwise what the people above me have said should work.
