Help Videos automatically gets deleted from Samsung galaxy S

I am using Galaxy S i9000 for over a month now and have noticed that videos getting automatically deleted from the phone. This has been happening for quite sometime now, earlier thought it might be overwritten while transferring but there on always made sure that the data is copied by browsing phone as a mass storage.
Problem persists with the original firmware (factory default - I9000DDJF3) and the upgraded one through kies (I9000DDJG4).

I've had this problem. I lost two videos. They simply disappeared. I'm fairly computer savvy and am pretty sure it didn't occur on account of my error. So what's happened?

In your case it was two videos that were deleted but in my case whenever it deletes, all the videos are lost at once irrespective of the folders, formats, transfer types (kies, mass storage, bluetooth) used, and the worst part being unable to figure out the reason for doing so!

No one has got any solution/suggestion that could be tried?
