View Temporary Internet Files?

I know that on computers you can view temporary internet files and pictures that get saved into a folder to later view or delete but is there also a way to view those files on the droid eris phone? any help is appreciated, thanks!

if you have astro file viewer, i believe they are under the folder /sdcard/.bookmark_thumb.

at least this is where i have seen mine before. should be the file at top when you open astro

what if i didn't have that app before. Is it too late to view any past temp files before the installation of astro?
Astro is simply a file system browser. As long as the temp files are on the phone, it should find them.

However, I do not think /sdcard/.bookmark_thumb is the correct directory. That's the cache for thumbnails in the browser like tabs and such.

I think it would be somewhere on the phones internal memory, since that's where most apps store their cache.

I downloaded astro but it didnt have the files i was lookiing for. Thanks anyways guys for the help, hopefully someone else can step forward with another suggestion.

in that case, how could i go about accessing the temp files from the internal memory?

That's the thing. I don't know. Since I don't have root, I can't find it for you. I have a hunch that its under the "cache" folder, but you need to have root access to open it.

The default browser's cache lives in /data/data/com.android.browser/cache, which you won't be able to get to without being root.

Actualy with estrongs file explorer you can change the "root or home directory from "/sdcard/" to simply "/", and I am pretty sure get to those files.

You can get to the phone's root location, but the system will deny access to all folders except system and sdcard. You pretty much need root to get to them.

what is in that internet history u dont want anyone to see. been looking at Lube Tube - The you tube of porn, Free Porn Movies updated daily! lolol
I don't think he is trying to hide anything. If he wanted to remove his history/cache he can do that from the internet app settings.
