Help View unread count for all email folders

willkara

Lurker
So i just got a new HTC One m8 (coming from galaxy nexus) and am trying to help my dad (and myself) setting up the email client.

He's coming from iPhone so this is gonna be a fun process, he's a technical person so it shouldn't be too bad.

One thing I am having trouble with is viewing the different email folders for the email client.

He uses email **A LOT** so he needs to be able to view all of his different folders.

Something like this:

* Regular Inbox - 5 unread.
* Other Person - 2 unread.
* Important AT&T Guy- 1 unread

I can currently view the different folders, but can't view how many unread are in each. In order to view how many are unread in each, I have to actually go into the folder. Is there not a 'view all folders' option that can be put on the side?

[This is what I see now](imgur: the simple image sharer)

But I want to be able to view the amount of unread messages FOR EACH FOLDER at once.

Unfortunately exchange accounts are a little different, as they rely on the server to provide the folder "names". The native mail account has limited control over what it can can display based off of what the exchange server lets the mail app "see" . What version of exchange is he using?

-You might want to look into Touchdown (compatible exchange email client for android)
