Viewing Pictures from a PC

When I connect my S3 to my Win 7 PC and try to view the pictures on the SD card or phone, all I can see are the generic icons and not the thumbnail of the picture itself when I select Large or extra large icons.

As an added symptom, when I go to Detail view the display default shows info as if the PC thinks everything is an audio file such as track number and artist.

This might be a Windows setting vs. S3.

Any ideas?

That is the way ICS is now working. You will need to use Kies to view the files as Pics or Audio files, unless you are rooted. Being rooted there is an app to use UMS instead of MTP over at XDA.
