viewing videos from Hero on the computer

Hi, I'm new to the forum and I didn't have any luck when I searched for this answer. If I'm viewing a video on my Hero, can I connect my phone via the USB cable to my computer and watch the video on the computer?

Yes, as long as your computer can play the specific format. Make sure you mount your phone then click on your video.

When I connect my phone to my laptop via usb, and mount my sd card I can not see the pictures and videos that I have taken. I can see the stuff that I moved to my phone, but not the pictures I took with the phones camera. Any ideas? So I tried sending the videos via email to myself, but when I download them in my email address it shows up as a 3gp format which my computer can not recognize. I read somewhere that this is a quick time format, and I just downloaded the newest quick time, and it still will not play. I thought the videos were mpeg4. I'm confused.

For pictures taken with your stock camera look in folder DCIM>100Media
