Viewing videos over LAN

[imnotjedi]

Hi, I was wondering whether there was an app that would let me view or transfer media such as videos from my computer onto my android device using LAN (or without counting to my quota).
Any help is appreciated

Do you want to transfer the file or stream the video for viewing?

Either would be good, I want to view the videos but if I can transfer them over I can use another app to watch them.

I use ES file explorer to transfer data between my Note 2, laptop, and external hard drive which is connected to my router.

Thanks pool_shark, this seems to be exactly what I was looking for

You might want to consider a file-sharing app so that you don't have to make copies ... mount the Android share and view the movies remotely.
