Hi guys

I've encountered quite a stupid problem here... When I download a Word document, PDF file, ... The phone always gives me a notification "Download failed". But normally my phone should be able to download and read these documents without any problem?

My previous phone was a Samsung Star (first generation) and it did all this without a problem... I just had to download the file and afterwards go to my documents and could read it. My new phone, however, doesn't do anything of this even though I've installed readers and such...

as you didnt mention your current phone..not that i would bother to look. openoffice is one app that does a decent job with office docs. as for failing to download that could be another issue but openoffice does a good job with docs

I'm sorry... Forgot to mention.

I'm currently using a Galaxy Gio. Normally the pre-installed software (Think Free Office) should open documents? Next to that I downloaded Adobe Reader.

Any more suggestions?

ThinkFree should also open pdf files. At least the one on my Galaxy SL does.

However from what you say, its not the reader at fault but the downloading. Try using a different web browser.

Man... Thank you so much! Didn't even came up myself with this easy - but at the same time genious - idea.

Thumbs up!
