Help virgin internet problem

Hi,

So ive got a desire on virgin network, UK. Everything is fine apart from the fact that the internet just doesnt work when indoors, at home although there is network coverage. Now there is no problem with the settings because it does work sometimes but very very rarely.

Outside, it works fine. Could the handset be faulty?

Unlikely, just sounds like you don't have very good GPRS/3G/HSDPA inside. It's common.

It can't just be Vodafone doing them.

Yea thts what ive been arguing with these virgin guys. I am getting a good signal, can perfectly make and receive calls. Its jus the internet thats not working!

There isn't a direct correlation between signal strength and mobile data access.

For example in some places you could have 5 signal bars but struggle to connect with EDGE.
